Hola, familia.
SAGRADOSE (sah GRAH dōs) here, an American producer of audio and visual experiences residing in the beautiful country of Panamá.
-
My music is primarily in the downtempo bass genre. I hand-touch every note using Ableton LIVE, software designed for electronic music producers.
The Recipe
Elements of sacred quality, whether the human voice or an instrument crafted with human hands. At least 1 element is necessary. Add more to taste.
Natural elements, such as field recordings of birds, insects, or the environment.
Modern/futuristic elements, such as a beat or an expressive synth bass.
Set an intention for the outcome that 1) in some way encourages or reminds the listener of their sacred and human qualities, and 2) invites them to do so while dancing.
Combine the sacred elements, bass and beats.
Put in the hours to fine tune; fine tune again.
Take a final pass of fine tuning until you, the producer, are reminded of your sacred, human qualities whilst dancing.
Release.
My visual work explores nature and human creativity, all to the pulse of the music.
I allow AI to assist me with making acupuncture appointments. I certainly would not allow AI to handle the needles. That requires a human touch. So does the creation of art. That so, AI has no seat in my studio.
Philosophically, SAGRADOSE is an invitation. I am on the same journey as anyone who finds this bio. We all know the destination. Wouldn’t it be more fulfilling if we walk together?
